I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

"I have climbed highest mountain
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you
I have run
I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for..."

Woke up early this morning - partly because I slept so badly last night, partly because I'd already set the alarm with intentions of practicising those grey cells before the sun rose over the horizon; something I used to be good at. I've always been a person who preferred getting up early to study, rather than studying late. But with this new lethargy I seem to have forgotten the pleasures of waking up early, listening to music of my choice on Rewind or on one of my old CDs...brewing my own coffee even while it's still dark outside and then sipping it slowly while standing on the terrace/balcony cradling my big yellow with blue trim mug in my hands...and then sitting and doing some mental exercises that kick-start the day and keep those grey cells active all day, not to mention keep the angsty emotions at bay, providing a sense of calm, peace and order inside my cauldron of a head....

This was the first song I heard this morning, moving onto other 80s classics and then some Blazing Drums and now it's Trilok Gurtu. It's 9.41 a.m and I can feel the weight on my heart lifting and a smile teasing at the corners of my lips, as the music takes over and weaves it's magic spell over me.

P.S A new story is up on Literary Mosaic - waiting to be read and reviewed! :-)

Hi dear.

MADDY [I think she doesn't like to be called that! :D ]sent me this link. Will visit from time to time. Hob-nobbing with ex-lit-ex-classmates might help my brain from congealing as it threatens to.

More strength to your pensword!

Prachi.

Deepak - Thanks! How come you didn't leave a comment on Literary Mosaic?

Prachi - Hey! I've been visiting your LJ from time to time, via Maddy Mata's LJ (I insist on calling her that ever since her anti-Sri Sri mail!)...thought you were into theatre when we were still in MA...turns out you're a dancer. Awesome!

Good to be in touch!

Rahul - Ooooo yeah your kinds ;-) LOL When I'd sleep over at frnd's places, we'd like go to sleep ard 5 am or so after a night of revelleries...they'd dream away to glory till the sun was like up there in the sky and getting ready to begin it's descent...and me? I'd be up ard 8, talking with the Mom in question, having bfast n trying to wake them up. Quite a pain really!

Phal - LOL! I smell something burning ;-) I was quite kicked abt you being frm AVM and all (I still get excited when I see AVM kids anywhere), but then I realsied you're like so junior that I probab wouldn't even recognise you by face...anyways, you've been welcomed into the fold with open arms babe - with a "BIG" heart like mine, plenty of space for everyone! :-)
Now Aparna was a classmate for two whole session at AFBombay - :-)

Love U2 and love this song. Not sure if you saw one of my recent posts inspired by U2.

Even I prefer getting up early to get a good start to the day. Also, it is more peaceful then and everyone else is asleep!

Go August! U2 Rules. Anyone who disagrees dies. Appa, try listening to Mew's Comforting Sounds when you wake up.

Gee, honestly I can't remember you either...Though I am curious, what house were you in?

::A:: - U2 rocks - even now. Their Grammy this year just goes to prove that! :-) Yeah, sure I'd read that post on your blog, only by the time I read it, there was such a deluge of comments there, that I realised I had nothing to add! :-)

Aparna - Waking up to freshly brewed coffee and music - yeps life just seems to be so rocking when you start the day like that!
PS Spoke to Tasu yest - she's coming here for the weekend..she conveys her greetings to thee!

Phal - I was in Patanjali (Brown) House, '97 Batch, AVM Juhu.
(2nd batch to graduate from Juhu - MRs Iyer was Principal at the time, Mrs Sachdeva having retired the previous year and Mrs N Kartik was still Vice-Prinicpal, teaching Hindi & terrorising us!)
Ring any bells?

Yes, I was so happy when they won this year. I know that their music 'lives on and on' but this was recognition that they really deserved!

Yes, that post had loads of comments. I guess a lot of people really like U2!
