Hmmm....Two birthdays last week. As I had said it meant lots of good food! For Bhabhi's birthday, we had gone to Mahesh Lunch Home, since she likes fish and well the place is known for its sea food. Sadly that was one of the days my mood switch flipped suddenly, so I was not in a suitable frame of mind for anything. Pretty volatile actually. So I kept quiet most of the time. Not that it made a difference to the company we had, coz I barely talk around those people anyways, so careful am I to not offend them, shock them or generally scare them! Plus I can't think of stuff to say...so anyways it was a very OK evening. By the time we ate I was famished so I devoured what was on my plate. Was feeling wicked later, so I left a very wikkked comment on their suggestions slip! Muhahaha!
Amma's birthday was a different story. Things went smooth from morning - touchwood - and my mood stayed on an even keel. Merci Bon Dieu! We had like this very 'food' day - garam nashta (as I said last week, Sundays are for 'garam nashta') followed by lunch of chana-paratha-mishti dahi... For dinner we were confused about where to go. Finally settled for Baisakhi, since its close and we've received good reviews but never reached the place. Reached nice and early, and I was wearing one of my 'feel good about myself coz I know I look smashing in this' outfits...the food was heavenly! I don't remember the last time I enjoyed the food at a restaurant THIS much. Everything was simply delicious, and I think I overate. Can you imagine, I only ate chicken? Didn't even touch the subzi we had ordered! LOL!!
Bas....that's it for now. Now the next spate of birthdays come in Sept-Oct, but I shall miss most coz I will be in Germany by then...sigh...
