Bombay Bandh

Well today is a 'bandh' - so that means chutti. Funny I am trying to figure out whether this bandh is justified or not. I mean how do they expect the government to see that BEST buses are running safely and without bombs in them? But then, the government should act diligently on these terrorist groups that have entered our society and have been the reason for so many bomb blasts in the past. But how does a bandh help, since its not been called by the people, who should call it actually, rather its been enforced on them by the political parties. So does it get any message across aside from the opposition parties objections to the ruling party? Seriously it makes for food for thought, n'est ce pas?

Anyways those ramblings aside, since today is a chutti, I'm home and so are bhaiyya and papa.I think I shall study - these days I'm being extremely sincere about my studies. I read what's been asked to read, do extra reading and go to class, regularly visit the Univ Library and ofcourse BCL, make notes etc etc. Right now I'm studying the background of Canadian literature - which involves how Canada was colonised, the effect of colonisation on the minds of the people, the literature produced then and now as a 'postcolonial' nation, the quest for identity in their works etc. Its damn interesting. I'm also doing a little bit of "Luther" by John Osborne as well as some of "Stone Angel" by Margaret Laurence. Plus some poetry.

Hahaha - Geeky Geets is Back in Action.

Actually this is coz I know I will miss 3 months of valuable study time, lectures et al when I'm in Germany, and when I get back it will be crazy - AF will start again, and I'll have lesser time to see to notes, refernce work etc. So I'm dong as much as I can now.

OK. Now that I've said all that. Let's stop procastrinating and get down to work. Nahi to woh kissa hoga jab the boy yelled 'wolf', LOL!!!
